Midnight Run

Yesterday I ran the Midnight Run Helsinki, which is a 10k race. The last time I ran more than 5k was in the beginning of April, so it's safe to say that I had some pretty massive doubts regarding my performance. The pouring rain, in addition to the "slightly cool" weather (around +10) and some pretty effing harsh winds didn't really boost my confidence. I was pretty convinced that I wouldn't be able to run the whole race, so imagine my surprise when I finished, with a time that made me nothing but proud and happy! I ran with some people from work, and Miku and me ran together almost the whole race, which was fun. So, now I'm trying to rearrange my work schedule so I can run another 10k in three weeks, and I will also sign up for a weekend of yoga in the near future. I didn't know, or I didn't remember how much I like working out, especially when I do it on my own. When you only compete with yourself and the only thing you have to beat is your own mind, you feel kind of invincible.

    1. I love them too! Unfortunately I won't be able to run the one I wanted to in a few weeks, as I have to work, but can't wait for spring and May and the half marathon I'll run then :D Good luck with your 5k!!
