Hello Again

Ah, I've apparently become very bad at blogging. You'll just have to bear with me, sorry.

Life here has been pretty much the same as ever, but I'm loving most of it. I've recently moved to Kallio and I love being here. I'm renting a studio apartment for a month, and it is absolutely amazing. From my window I have a view over the rooftops of Kallio, and the Kallio church tower. My commute to work has also never been this short, so I'm happy. Which brings me to the other news, work. The company I work for was recently sold, which means a lot of upcoming changes, exciting and fun changes! I used to work for Inter Handling, a small ground handling company with one client, and now we were sold to Swissport, which is the biggest ground handling company in the world. Things will change and I think it's exciting! Which brings me to the third piece of news, my future. I've decided to stay in Finland. I was supposed to go back to Australia, but have now decided not to. After this month of living in Kallio, I'll move to Punavuori with Sandra into her new apartment to save some money for future purchases.

Yesterday Emma and me spent a few hours together, first we went shopping, then we went for lunch/dinner, which made both of us a little queasy. We came to my place and talked about being Finnish, books, and listened to awesome old Finnish music. We decided that we have to watch all these awesome old Finnish movies that we've never seen, and I will make sure to get my hand s on some more Finnish music, because it really is awesome. All of a sudden I feel very patriotic. I was out with a group of awesome people last night too, and we had a blast. Today when I woke up I listened to some of the most beautiful music ever made for a few hours, and then biked around the city and hung out in the bookshop for a while before meeting Trilli for lunch and coffee.

I like having days off sometimes.

this is finland
