At the moment Sandra and me are having breakfast in our flat, and I can see the ocean from our living room window. Not too shabby. I have apparently done something not too smart, as I am now sick with a mild case of the flu. Nothing too bad though, I will still attempt to go surfing today, but may have to skip the partying.
Since my last real post (the photobooth one doesn't count) I have obviously done quite a bit of more or less interesting stuff. I have voted in the presidential elections twice. The first time Jess and me felt super patriotic as we ascended the steps to the Finnish consulate in Double Bay. We then went for lunch and a walk around that area as neither of us had been there before, and noticed that it was filled with old people, but still a nice enough place. After having voted, we took the bus into the city and went for banana bread by the opera house, and to a surf exhibition at the Museum of Sydney. We then felt extremely happy to be exactly where we are in the world.
Last saturday Sandra and Eero arrived in Sydney to my great joy. I went to the airport to meet them, and then we went pretty much straight out to the bar. We had a decent saturday night at the Oxford Art Factory, even though everyone was tired. Sandra and Eero from traveling, and me from having celebrated my last night at Jess' the night before. Since then we have been surfing, shopping and beaching in addition to celebrating and experiencing Australia day, which was pretty cool. The weather hasn't been all that nice, but we're hoping that will turn around soon!
Jess, me and our nails at the Kooks' show three weeks ago, which explains my lack of a tan.
Oh yeah, as a sidenote, I REALLY need to find a job, NOW. I'm running out of cash.
